John Severin signed this cover with a monogram design (which resembles a diamond shape) in the lower left corner. Nick Caputo has identified two other uses of this monogram, also cover dated April 1971: Monsters on the Prowl #16 and The Western Kid #3.

The rejected cover to Sgt. Fury #96 as inked by Ralph Reese in black and white. It is explained that Reese's inks were considered too offbeat so John Severin re-inked the published version.
